Today I wanted to do a quick rundown of some of the pitfalls inherent to taking supplements without knowing your personal mineral status. One way that I am able to help people in a very simple way in my coaching practice is to get them off of supplements that are not meshing well with their metabolism or the minerals in their system. While this is an individual thing, there are still some generalities that can and should be kept in mind when taking any supplements, especially minerals, whether you know your mineral status or not. Minerals are extremely powerful, moreso than vitamin cofactors, although vitamins also have dynamic relationships with minerals as well (yep, EVERYTHING has a dynamic relationship with everything).
